Teaching Strategies and Distributed Guided Practice/Summarizing Prompts:
Using a Web Diagram, Students will map out what parts are in each category. Input, Process, Storage, Output
  1. Hand out web diagram.
  2. Cover the 4 categories. select real player and high speed and choose save. Select fullscreen mode under view menu. http://educate.intel.com/en/TheJourneyInside/ExploreTheCurriculum/EC_IntroductionToComputers/ICLesson2/
  3. Put INPUT, PROCESS, OUTPUT, STORAGE into the 4 boxes.
  4. Break students into 4 groups and have them identify the parts inside the computer for 1 category.
  5. Review answers and ask for other examples of 4 categories. See vocabulary.
